Fruit & Veggie Market

I made a trip to the "wet market" to get some food.

Wet markets are outdoor markets where people by food. They are almost like supermarkets but there are individual stalls where people sell all kinds of different things.

Wet markets are buys places with lots of people. Can you find me in these two pictures?

This fruit is called dragon fruit because people say it looks like a dragon. The taste is very sweet. Mango is a favorite of everyone it seems.
Green vegetables all kinds that I do not know all the names.

This is hot hot pepper my Uncle Iqbal dared me to try it but I put a small bit on my tongue and it stinged like a bee. They do look small but the have a big spice.
A stall owner waiting for customers.
This is me buying veggies and fruits.
This is a picture of me buying corn with my Uncle Iqbal at the wet market.
These are some different stalls and their owners.

This is ginger...people use it to add flavor to their food when cooking.

My uncle Iqbal can speaks Chinese so he helped me to speak with Ms. Chau. She owns a stall and is 87 years old. She has been working here for more than 60 years. Before her father owned the stall.

Lychee kind of a funny looking fruit. You peel it and eat the inside but not the nut in the middle.
This spikey looking fruit is Durian.
This is what it looks like when you open it. You eat the inside and not the outside or else you might hurt yourself. This fruit stinks very bad but people like to eat it for the taste. I don't like the taste!!!
